In January, we will begin a new series of messages entitled, “The Message of Mark”, in which we will take an in-depth look at one chapter of Mark’s gospel a week. In our Sunday worship we will focus on one aspect of the chapter that will have implications on a major theme Mark is communicating in other chapters and then on Wednesday of each week we will study the other contents of the chapter. This class will meet at 10 a.m. each Wednesday (starting Wednesday, January 9th) in a classroom in the Fellowship Hall. Mark is generally considered by scholars to be the first written account of the life
and ministry of Jesus and the one Matthew and Luke use as a basis for writing their gospels. There is so much to learn from Mark’s gospel and we look forward to sharing with you his unique message.
