Reminder: Auditions are on October 24th, at 9am.  Please try to arrive 15 minutes early, so we can begin the check in process, and start Auditions on time. We will have a Parent Meeting immediately following auditions at 11:30am Remember, an audition is a 2-3 minute showcase of everything you’ve got: singing, acting, energy and personality! So really invest time in making it a strong representation of what you can do so the directors can see you shine. Also remember, you’re going to be nervous! The best way to combat nerves is preparation. Make sure you practice your audition start to finish in front of as many family and friends as you can. It’ll make you so much more confident! Audition format: 1. Introduce yourself, name & grade. 2. Tell us which monologue and songs you have selected. 3. Perform your monologue. 4. Perform songs. 5. Say “thank you” & take a seat! (*whew, you did it!)* #### **MONOLOGUES** For your The Sound of Music Youth Edition audition please prepare one of the provided monologues below! *Note: these do not need to be memorized- just practice and be confident- but you can hold the paper in your hand if needed!* Choosing the right monologue is an important part of your audition preparation. A polished monologue gives you a chance to show off your acting skills and demonstrate your connection to the production. Here are some suggestions on how to get started! 1\) Familiarize yourself with the show! 2\) Ask yourself: Which role(s) do I see myself in? Which role(s) do I think the directors will see me in? Consider all of the possibilities! 3\) Choose a monologue that captures the essence of the characters that you would like to be considered for, but read through all of the options. Be open to the discovery that this exercise may lead you to! 4\) Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Perform your monologue in front of your loved ones and ask for feedback to help you improve your audition and increase your comfort. 5\) Memorization is a plus, but is NOT required. Feel free to hold the paper in your hand! [Monologues Link](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LiWilBRXe3bYI4qDT9mwc4GxNK_b2LxC/view?usp=sharing) #### **SONG SELECTIONS** There will be 2 tracks for each audition song selection- feel free to rehearse with the guided/vocals track but you will be auditioning with the performance track ONLY. Sheet music is also provided. **If you are interested in a non-singing role ONLY and do not want to be considered for a singing part, you can prepare just a monologue.** #### **GIRLS:** choose 1 from: *Sound of Music, Maria,* or *Climb Every Mountain*(note: *Maria* is meas. 74-95) choose 1 from: *Do Re Mi* or *Lonely Goatherd* (as a single solo) If you'd like to be considered for Leisel, also prepare *16 going on 17* and you will be paired with a boy ## Sound of Music   [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iBoW3GQQ0EH-8otIwVxSTdEOli3A4rJd/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lviLqU5Vk5keM3F9TsiBqeFDxdpcg9mU/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bs5_6kNxJ0u9tZRmPJmRoNRyur8J7ZzF/view?usp=drive_link) ## Maria Measures 74 - 95 [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YXIgL-5sPvp2Fr-w2tOxNzJTzgvmEBdG/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eFdD1E9rWv2O9fSG2CvsoG1zCMxQspap/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S4YntKN7mGpf2PDXIFmHJE19eP9SSsn2/view?usp=drive_link) ## Climb Every Mountain [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1784UiVFAh8aPh3NazIRYgxiURBu_6_Ss/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RT-1N3O94siWAAvZ091z7tqdR4_oKaQe/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RWN7T6w4Xs6hsN9ic5Lj61YX-n900CXq/view?usp=drive_link) --- ## Do Re Mi [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NnQRNDhDIblNgaVvgaz-ugwgOfPPZXr2/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kxJH_kUZ2NaEUCwq1RxlsZ0QXwXDD4tM/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1InJHLZbj7c5GmnVLMh1xVM2bsN754wCV/view?usp=drive_link) ## Lonely Goatherd [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iIg2Xz8lTKKcyoBI89VDHYHbNgIWt-Ik/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oLVTTre7723QnhG9yWo1s-o5XAxofNbE/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CgGXi0J4ZDgRRxuPgTcwyGYSGkxyZmNn/view?usp=drive_link) --- #### **Boys:** If your voice is lower, prepare *Edelweiss* If your voice is high/unchanged, prepare *Do Re Mi (From above)* If you would like to be considered for Rolf, also prepare *16 Going on 17* and you will be paired with a girl.   ## Edelweiss [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1anIjLKIxfVSnw6NgMOQXW6ttsdT9Ewt2/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EdiAedlQ7GEeEI72DL3Z1T9WvUodN6my/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ii9VpD_OW9tFulUT9zFZuX8S8LRNAMT5/view?usp=drive_link) ## 16 Going on 17 [Sheet Music](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_NBfyHg6qgNtdy5LybCLL2t-sZ2IHebV/view?usp=drive_link) [Guided Vocals](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zxCkMaphnU6xN9WtBcQY4mJ_J2cqqxjq/view?usp=drive_link) [Performance Track](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RvS5WOChTXH8Ayh6MtEKtHqw7apVRP_t/view?usp=drive_link) ## Costume Try-On Sign Up November 8th from 1pm - 5pm or November 15th from 12pm - 3pm Please sign up for a costume try-on slot below [Costume Try-On Signup](https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B45AEAB2AA1FDC61-66069320-sound) When you arrive, please come for the time slot that you signed up for, if you are early or late, we may not be able to take you. Keep in mind that these will be worn under their costume, so lighter weight items will be best.  Please also keep in mind that we will have multiple costume days, where they will be wearing these items. Please try to provide multiple sets of the items, or be sure to wash them between each wearing.  We will have character specific base layers, and will be sure to update with those after costume try-ons Listed below are the general requests for base layers: **Socks**   [No show socks ](https://www.amazon.com/SIXDAYSOX-Reinforced-Invisible-Rubber-Cotton/dp/B085Y8YYT4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1X8420QKT8HIF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.iI8VqW0NUCtsQcnz6aj7LlCLwUyZsVD43xis2MrYyPJUEEd16OnoUaoQ2eDYcNrrsrYpXXRqtCWyOd2AWbcrAxtHcIu3eqhT-qALHtX9ECrMhWyxGrOdPSR9i8rDOWyEWDKr9aKCnGRi6YUgf5k_L7gBwOyl76i7lH_2XW0oADlCaylRlLhU8MlyugP_LsWwY1J4MCkUcfpCLhSMEC43RRPE33kaBGC2Dsu1gV_gi-dC-ftd6spUK-lHG8vn7mjiQMXy5zQo16YMfl65Ic1Yh9dtFizww_eItqyXCuksVok.sqjwFGocnoSYC5aoaYd_NVHHzkGHuN4AqMNmeto8wLc&dib_tag=se&keywords=no%2Bshow%2Bsocks%2Bblack&qid=1759183437&sprefix=no%2Bshow%2Bsocks%2Bblack%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1&psc=1) **Shorts ** Girls  [Bike shorts,](https://www.amazon.com/Auranso-Girls-Shorts-Breathable-Safety/dp/B0C1RQCVJ7/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3KHKHT63V01FT&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0NJsV0bkPBoQAxXg-jjFZDaPf_pPYrdvudrfO8KPh7XKocho8I4m6w2jlOG4tJZQMr-7iy0OLrEbws7UEmGXW_TmisX4cEntZTSX0J0tJQxsI3yR9xgWEFFHpYbBcklDcB2sCXAEvdcvHIPoACuC3zA6sPAJg36GL1md5zp5XWOl6_9WhTsb2FIi1fmRuWeWcFrfPomzbveytZ_BmKEVYKichA5bng5HO6bdtlhjue7hgF7Uu4nqsswwWsT5TTYAnTRNj5KhrQpHNJ7J7w-qgWziT6QkK5p2Wn75HBUJNoQ.lkyNgR6Zv1hwnJDgG7a42lae08yI3324ahnoTCJAAFo&dib_tag=se&keywords=girls%2Bbike%2Bshorts&qid=1759183543&sprefix=girls%2Bbike%2Bshorts%2B%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1&psc=1) [Womens dance short ](https://www.amazon.com/CADMUS-High-Waisted-Spandex-Athletic-Volleyball/dp/B077SBJPMJ/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=1VZ813R8DZYMJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.quYDjn4j0P5NUFNrBrXH9-hpiNkd-qkpWNnBDOo5N82NlIfx7bKbAZ2o2K-rjUjQ3wAy7dtS-dxThsw9nJDlsJ0Oh52FNmeNLYVE-1mY4TfyQGgV8bpUCR7LV2LjmM6zhDww9dbA_ex0xWKIZ0EMxJ1Fl-8K0fNPLy1h9hD5CqKVVYrobILaqZKTqCQZ29x7XSBXI6khW3FPWL5oeTaUa6D_1VT9axZ2czNPBcmqZXjqQ8BSRR4x8JwOVdna47_7Qi18KKIjpUnnY09F8bYz_F6npLZHDBfAIz-6U5arWZQ.1gPpXncKjUABMXpePaboLK1uBpSU9Gg4dZLl81K32EY&dib_tag=se&keywords=womens+dance+shorts+black&qid=1759183907&sprefix=Womens+dance+shorts%2Caps%2C223&sr=8-3-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1) Boys [Boys Bike Shorts](https://www.amazon.com/Runhit-Compression-Performance-Athletic-Underwear/dp/B0BRTR4FNF/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3R99GDPZALDG7&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.a-9qxfrGaZREjaRxRqkCBXyku32dEnuz3D6m1GJhWSHHo_h2g665GU2tCICbbp719W2iMKMwER8m-2P9K9m3K2zRcBv6NhqGjF6QiS0bxKPg3YtRVIyOdETI_Dgpm3GrnM8DH4skmsTRi2spsPq_LtLOopVe19mYzS98cqeholCNYkxLqYX8hJqY9OfEPvMOzRGBztGhouoOo8pMcM-QxFJO1K3QoK3B3JgopVyQnhV-cmbxJl_-riKT-pZ24vmQO5sVkekuUuSCNfXRal01ZM5GgfaYsSL8ZeSODVUcnfo.UrNQa47sS7XBUTKXf0odL9SylA0jXmlr0eCVf0pqrUw&dib_tag=se&keywords=boys%2Bbike%2Bshorts&qid=1774892223&sprefix=boys%2Bbike%2Bshorts%2Caps%2C152&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1&psc=1) **Shirt ** Girls  [Girls Camisole ](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Essentials-Layering-Camisoles-4-Pack/dp/B08J97B7XL/ref=sr_1_1_ffob_sspa?crid=T56FM1TDBA5U&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.kxtCFiOHMgct_14OaDhwdC8Ke-DsK2pW0TFI4OKc4RLslPYWjFEdQaj9BJe3ElQEawM-30O2jdZkHesurXLe3LUQEaldrw_hpG8hiby8XfRDiHGQ9pVm7teUwz2Jkd9mD1Kl3SnRjXqVmLX0t1jMwZFf_KMUdpPBgeQ0AZ61Kgi66kGl6sQP_b_rHxvwBZFllsZq8tCEnz13_-5_c4wGYs-foTb61ba8b2QQ6HqsLuAo2n4wW8HBprPSJbPPzWiq_3nl_1BQVIF9ss7vlkICVXoRLBd6EuBZgk_R7HwG1CQ.qoNUaKbUI4r9nVPPHmX9iR7PTW6e8ngBX4QH7vCXp4Y&dib_tag=se&keywords=girls%2Bblack%2Bcamisole&qid=1759183702&sprefix=girls%2Bblack%2Bcamisole%2Caps%2C141&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1&psc=1) [Womens camisole](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Essentials-Womens-4-Pack-Camisole/dp/B0775WTRR6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=FTR1XIBWCE0A&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.eGB3DsNE0RLtRf5V4frJHxwEN3sU96DSxpdKt_d8xiAexYizFE8-Y7pae8nQ3vupgriZuCzRAww8AI_2MAOBMsI7GWsKceQZMjmglj1seOBHtBD9qW9tltLgK7fioY0rG_C0szz5v0gSO4JvHhV0kMf6VIw2XSsTItv9CacArbazrxCaqYZzCwGxuoJ6EDTIYv63i0rsNd8icR9IPrmVx1fzDQ5cqRJD8y-8pVI1VZ9FLSr9bAfIfqI9IhWhrScLu_peGYI1vucqttxqNtURoYYIpzdbIIW8yyJtYcGLnq0.VPJSVMzoAiH5u-yGLr38h5fmwIn6NyKK5X56J2-Py8g&dib_tag=se&keywords=womens+black+camisole&qid=1759183937&sprefix=womens+black+camisole%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-5)  Boys  [Boys tank](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Essentials-Stretch-Black-X-Large/dp/B0F716B98T/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1QZU29V21R9YG&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Nl11uOedndrf-2wDC6TZBKEXXJYW7lhg2Woj7qctre_hiWIxt5CC3o9-Fb5ssrtuHQF1O4Zqof9MM9wzIHkmoCi6UVInysaP766ziWX7aC-pPufHXTDRqFXgaEETKzLilw_Y9akmx4PxQY5ZKWE8N8rlVJBfomiFNCko5Fel0KBavmLJeFpCbCSGHkLQqFsiiUd-mdkr8yWMXw2_8yQKp_JjoJZo9C-rHKBtdC9jfkG4PRN4MC5MZskGU1vvtGsHYsLhWWa-TJ1ixcvxFPxzoN1_r5MdjJZzPUtR7CVMwZ8.JZnUedo1jCRlrg7r6GRcnuT-4tCeggX_0Um1HznXtVs&dib_tag=se&keywords=Boys%2Bblack%2Btank&qid=1759183735&sprefix=boys%2Bblack%2Btank%2B%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-6&th=1&psc=1)  #### Base Layer By Character Coming Soon   ##
