Pirates Past Noon Kids 2026

Pirates Past Noon Kids Auditions

Auditions will be held at 9am on May 2nd.  Please read all the details below carefully and come prepared to auditions.

Parent meeting to follow at 3:30pm. Please plan to attend.

Auditions at Impact Theater are no-cut.  This means that if your child is signed up for our show, and their deposit is paid, they will be cast.  We simply use auditions to place our students in the best role for them and for the show.

Parents are allowed to attend auditions, but we ask that you sit in the last 3 rows of the sanctuary, and that if you attend auditions that you remain in the room the whole time. If you leave the space, we ask that you remain outside because having parents walking in and out is extremely distracting to all of our students.

We have many younger and new students for this show.  Please prepare your student that they will need to stand on stage and say their line, sing their song and do some easy dancing.  If they want a solo or a lead role, they will need to sing without anyone, while on stage, but we will never force anyone to do anything they are uncomfortable with.

Music Audition

For our singing audition, we ask that you prepare both of the songs. "Bows" and "Treasure".

For "Bows" there are two guided vocal tracks.  One is the recording that was sent to us.  This song is sung in 3 part harmony, but we are asking that you only learn the melody.  We have provided a recording of this section with just the melody as well.

You will have the option to sing these songs with or without the guided vocals.  We do expect that students who would like a lead role, sing with the performance tracks during auditions, but if you need the guided vocals that is okay.

Audition Sides

For auditions, we ask that you prepare the following two sides, as well as memorize the line that we have provided.  We will ask all the students to say their memorized line for us, so we can hear their voice.  If your child is not reading yet, that is okay.  Feel free to help them with the sides, but know that if they cant read, we will be able to help them during auditions.

Sides are just small chunks of the show that our directors chose to use as a way to see how the students take on lines, read, act and interact with each other.

BASE LAYER Information

Base layers at Impact theater are a way for us to allow kids to get into costume and make costume changes backstage.  We ask that you provide your student with the items listed under their character.  If you have any questions about the base layers, please reach out in the WhatsApp Group. Keep in mind that these will be worn under their costume, so lighter weight items will be best.  Please also keep in mind that we will have multiple costume days, where they will be wearing these items. Please try to provide multiple sets of the items, or be sure to wash them between each wearing.

We will have character specific base layers, and will be sure to update with those after costume try-ons
