May 2 - Auditions

May 16 - Costume Try On Day

Please come with your child in their base layer.  We will be trying on all our costumes for the show.

June 22 - Costume Dress Rehearsal

Please arrive in base layers, and bring a change of clothes for the remainder of rehearsal. NO MAKEUP OR HAIR needed. 

June 24 and 25 - Dress Rehearsal

Please arrive in Base Layer - We will be running the show in costume with FULL HAIR AND MAKEUP. Students will change out of costumes for lunch and afternoon activities.

June 26 - Dress Rehearsal and Early Release

This is our final dress rehearsal in the morning.  NO HAIR and NO MAKEUP needed for this day.  You have a show that night and we dont need to keep kids in makeup all day long.  Pick up is at 1pm this day to allow for rest between camp and show. 

June 26 and 27 - SHOWS

Mic'd students (we will have a list of this provided) please arrive no later than 5pm to get your mic on. All other cast, please arrive no later than 5:30pm.  Shows will start at 7pm.

BASE LAYER Information

Base layers at Impact theater are a way for us to allow kids to get into costume and make costume changes backstage.  We ask that you provide your student with the items listed under their character.  If you have any questions about the base layers, please reach out in the WhatsApp Group. Keep in mind that these will be worn under their costume, so lighter weight items will be best.  Please also keep in mind that we will have multiple costume days, where they will be wearing these items. Please try to provide multiple sets of the items, or be sure to wash them between each wearing. 

We will have character specific base layers, and will be sure to update with those after costume try-ons

Makeup 

All cast members should have a base of makeup on for the show.  Some cast members might have additional makeup listed below. 

We recommend getting a stage makeup kit like this one Ben Nye Stage Makeup Kit. Be Sure to get the correct coloring for your child.  This will include most of what you need for the stage, and will last for multiple seasons.

Foundation

Light Blush

Can fill in brows with natural hair color brown pencil, if needed.

Neutral lip color (absolutely no red or pink lipstick)

Neutral setting powder over the entire face to keep makeup in place.

Setting spray if you have it.

Makeup by Character

Most characters will need a basic face of stage makeup like the look below.  Please use the listing above to achieve the correct look. 

Dragon - Here are some ideas that you can try 

Fiona (only adult fiona) - Here are some ideas that you can try - Can do some light green eye makeup (nothing too bright), pink cheeks and pink lip.  Think princess. shimmer is okay! 

Pinocchio - Here are some ideas - Think wood grain.  You will have a mask that covers the cheeks and nose, so no makeup is needed there.  Please be sure to have the upper and lower parts of your face covered.  Reach out if you have questions. 

Farquaad - Super strong eyebrows, can definitely have pink cheeks. Reach out if you have questions. Be DRAMATIC! 

Hair

If your character is not listed below, we need you in a nice clean low bun.  Many of you will have hats or head pieces on, and the low bun will make it simple to get the hat on. 

Story Tellers - Please try a half up half down, curled look.  We will have some hair accessories for you as well 

Dragon - here are a couple of ideas for you to try, have fun with this!.  We will have horns for you

 Captain of the Guard - Your hair needs to be slicked back, out of your face -  think almost like a farquaad look, but with your own hair.  Try things out and if you need help, let us know. 

Fiona, Teen and Young - You will have a red wig to wear.  Teen and Young, you need low buns. Adult you can do a low bun or something braided like the image below

This is a way to braid your hair for under the wig Adult Fiona only! 

Pinocchio - Your hair  can either be slicked back almost hard gel (look at the image in the makeup part) or straightened like the image below 

Boys - all your hair needs to be flat, not messy.  You may need to use some hair spray or gel to keep the hair closer to your head.  We do not want your hair in your face. please reach out if you have questions. 

Donkey - your hair can be your natrual hairstyle, we will have ears for you, we do not have a hood for your head. 

Farquaad - we will have a wig for you. Please make sure your hair is flat to allow for wig to fit.
